We are always on the lookout for inspiring writers, whether emerging or experienced, to contribute to RIPPLE OF CHANGE.

With a focus on equity, we strongly encourage writers who identify as women, people of colour, LGBTQ2S+, living with disabilities or anyone who has experienced systemic barriers to get in touch.

Process

We are always on the lookout for inspiring writers, whether emerging or experienced, to contribute to RIPPLE OF CHANGE.

There are so many powerful stories to tell, and we can’t wait for your help in telling them.

Here’s how it works:

Writers are assigned a story from our bank of great initiatives*
Writers are assigned a story level and word length
Writers sign a contract with RIPPLE OF CHANGE
As our focus is on unique individuals and organizations, writers will be paired with a spokesperson to interview
Using interviews and other primary and secondary sources, writers will paint a picture of the initiative in an engaging and inspiring way

Compensation

The Drop

Article angle & sources provided, website/blog/email length for online or email, approx. 500 words.

$250 CAD

The Ripple

Article angle & sources provided, shorter feature for online and print, approx. 600-750 words.

$350 CAD

The Splash

Mix of primary and secondary sourcing, article angle and sources provided, mid-level to experienced writer, feature-length approx. 1,000 words, for print and online.
